Will it suit my hair type?

Our blend is designed to condition dry, brittle-feeling hair across different textures—from curls and coils to straight strands. Start with a small amount, especially on fine hair, and adjust according to the product directions.

When can I expect a difference?

Softer texture, smoother-feeling lengths and shine are the first changes to look for. Results vary depending on your hair’s condition and routine. Consistent care matters, but individual timelines differ.

Is this just another watered-down Batana blend?

No. Batana oil from La Moskitia, Honduras, remains at the heart of our formula, complemented by Jamaican Black Castor Oil and Rosemary Oil from Morocco. Each ingredient has a purpose: rich conditioning, softness, shine and scalp care. We combine them deliberately—not simply to dilute the Batana, but to bring complementary care into one ritual.

What if it isn’t right for me?

Your purchase is backed by our 90-day money-back guarantee. If you’re not satisfied, contact us to request a refund. Please see our guarantee terms for eligibility and the refund process.

Where our oils come from

Three origins. One ritual.

Each oil comes from the place it is known for: Black Castor from Jamaica, Rosemary from Morocco and Batana from La Moskitia, Honduras. Together, they form one blend built on a batana base.

Artistic illustration: a woman in Jamaica preparing black castor oil, with a stream of oil flowing down

Jamaica.

Where our black castor comes from.

Jamaican Black Castor Oil takes its deep color from a traditional method: castor beans are roasted, pounded and slowly boiled until the oil rises. In our blend, it coats and smooths the lengths for softness and shine.

Artistic illustration: a woman in Morocco distilling rosemary, with the oil flowing into a copper bowl

Morocco.

Where our rosemary comes from.

Rosemary grows across the hills of Morocco, and its oil is traditionally drawn out by steam distillation. A small amount is all the blend needs to turn it into a scalp-focused ritual.

La Moskitia, Honduras.

Where our batana comes from.

Batana oil comes from the nut of the American oil palm, native to the rainforests of La Moskitia. The Miskito people have long prepared it by boiling and pressing the nuts. It is the foundation of our elixir: rich conditioning for hair that feels dry and brittle.

Three plants, each growing wild in the region famous for its oil.

Each of these oils carries a craft passed down from one generation to the next. Our ritual is built on that knowledge, so it can care for your hair, too.

What it does

Built for where hair begins. The scalp.

Most products only coat the strand. Our blend is made to be massaged into the scalp and worked through the lengths: care where hair starts, and where it shows.

  • Melts into the scalpThe balm softens at body temperature, so it massages in easily where hair begins.
  • Softer, fuller-feeling hairBatana and Black Castor condition and smooth the lengths for softness and shine.
  • Give it 90 daysHair renews slowly. The resting phase of the hair cycle alone lasts around three months.
  • Every hair type. Every age.Straight to 4C, fine to coarse. After pregnancy or after menopause.

Your first 90 days

What to expect in 90 days.

Consistency matters more than quantity. Here is how the ritual typically unfolds. Individual results vary.

1–2

Weeks · Softer to the touch

The balm melts in and conditions dry lengths. The first thing most people notice is the feel: softer, less rough strands.

3–6

Weeks · Smoother, shinier lengths

With regular use, lengths look smoother and more defined, with a healthy-looking shine and fewer tangles.

8–12

Weeks · The full ritual cycle

Hair renews slowly. After 90 days you have given your scalp and strands a full cycle of consistent care. That is the moment to judge the ritual.

Three steps: scoop a fingertip of balm, warm it in your hands, massage into scalp and edges

How to use

Three steps. Ninety days.

Most routines fail because they stop too early. Hair renews slowly: the resting phase of the hair cycle alone lasts around three months. Give the ritual a full 90 days, exactly as long as our money-back guarantee.

What's in the jar

Three oils. One formula.

Batana is the base. Jamaican Black Castor Oil carries and balances it. Rosemary is added in a small, measured amount, the way an essential oil should be used. No fillers, no silicones, no added fragrance.

Batana Oil

Elaeis oleifera · Honduras

The largest part of the formula. Its rich, buttery texture melts at body temperature and conditions hair that feels dry and brittle.

The base

Jamaican Black Castor Oil

Ricinus communis · Jamaica

Gives the blend slip so it spreads easily, and acts as the carrier oil for the rosemary. Smooths the lengths for softness and shine.

The carrier

Rosemary Oil

Rosmarinus officinalis · Morocco

A concentrated essential oil, so it is only used in a small amount, fully diluted in the blend. It gives the ritual its scalp-focused character.

The scalp note

Questions?

Your questions, answered.

I've tried everything. Why might this be different?

Most routines use one oil for one job. This blend brings rich conditioning for the lengths, smoothing for softness and shine, and a scalp-focused ritual together in one step. And you have 90 days to see how your hair responds, backed by our money-back guarantee.

Why a blend instead of pure batana?

Batana is the base and the largest part of the formula. Black Castor adds slip and shine along the lengths, and Rosemary makes the ritual scalp-focused. You get all three without buying and mixing separate bottles.

How do I use it?

Scoop a fingertip of balm, warm it between your hands until it melts, then massage it into your scalp and edges in the evening. Work what's left through your lengths. On fine hair, start with less.

Will it make my hair greasy?

A little goes a long way. Use a fingertip-sized amount, focus on the scalp and edges, and add more only to dry ends.

What does it smell like?

Nutty and earthy, the natural scent of the oils. There is no added fragrance.

Will I be signed up for a subscription?

No. Every order is a one-time purchase. We don't offer automatic subscriptions.

Is the blend tested?

Yes. Our manufacturer provides a certificate of analysis for the blend. Contact us if you would like to see it.

How does the 90-day guarantee work?

Use the elixir for up to 90 days. If you're not satisfied, contact us and we'll refund your purchase according to our guarantee terms.
